Thankful November

posted in: Life, Scripture 1

Well, friends, November is officially here and with it brings the beginning of the holiday season. Soon, we will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner and racing through the stores shopping for Christmas.

As I was listening to K-love yesterday, the DJ challenged us to not to let November slide by, in our frantic rush towards Christmas. She challenged us to be thankful. For me, thanks doesn’t always come easily, I have to be deliberate about it. And God is really working on me about being thankful in all situations.

I just finished reading The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. Wow, talk about thankfulness! At one point, Corrie and her sister were in a concentration camp and they thanked God for the fleas in their bed. Because of their faithfulness, God used those fleas for their good.

So I am going to work on being thankful this November and I would love for you to join this challenge with me.

I created this page so you can keep track of what you are thankful for each day. Feel free to print as many copies as you want, I am going to have my kids do the challenge as well.

Please come back and let me know how your challenge is going. I will be sharing my list from time to time and I would love to hear your stories about how God is working in your life.

Hugs and Abundant Blessings,

Lynnette

Thanks for the November reminder Lynnette! I too have trouble sometimes remembering to be thankful for the good things in my life that I take for granted while thinking to long about the negative things. So I can have a constant reminder to be thankful, I’m going to a flea market today….:)
    Seriously, Thank YOU!!
    God’s bless you
