Jewel-tone Friendship Bracelet

posted in: DIY 2

I was feeling crafty today, so I decided to try a new take on an old favorite.

I gathered some embroidery floss, some heavy cord and a button. *I ended up with a different button.

floss

I started by tying a knot in the top of the cord. Make sure your button will fit through the loop.

Then I picked a color and made “figure-four” knots around the other colors and the cord.

I changed colors as I felt and checked as I changed to make sure I didn’t have all the same colors in one spot.

I put a dot of superglue at the end under the final knot to hold everything together. My husband teaches knot tying and his saying is “if you don’t know a knot, tie a lot” that’s exactly what I did. LOL! Not pretty, hopefully it stays put.

Now, I have a fun new stacked bracelet.
